That alone justifies the price of buying a separate license. It is no way comparable to what had to be done for FSX or P3D. There is only so much Dan can do with a sim which is in no way optimized for coding involved to get an OpenGL title to work in VR is massive. The even worse frame rates and less customization of rendering options available in X-Plane 11 is a lot more challenging though. The results in X-Plane 10 with Flyinside are remarkable given the poor framerates we get from this sim. It then fell to third parties to take up the challenge of getting x-plane to work in VR. Once Oculus switched to direct mode rendering in the later runtime betas any basic integration laminar had been working on internally disappeared. If anti-virus software blocks the download you may need to temporarily disable it. Those key bindings are from pre oculus runtime 0.5 and are no longer relevant for VR. Cars is very good and that's what I expect from a modern simulator like XP 11. Ausin is almost certain to detail how VR will be supported officially, so so keep your eyes peeled for that. If look into X-Plane's key bindings there is Oculus support already coded (since XP 10), for some reason they are not enabling it. Hey All, FlyInside, the company that brought VR to X-Plane is going to release its Bell 47 for X-Plane users. DCS World works without being in windowed mode, so it must be possible. Although some of the apps I've tried with the Oculus Rift CV1 do the same thing, so I don't know if that's a standard expectation of VR. Furthermore, they require X-plane to run in windowed mode, which means you're going to get an FPS drop just because of that. Air Manager, as a matter of comparison, supports all of the sims with a single product and single price. That just boggles my mind with the high price tag. It would be one thing if you got support for all the simulators in the same product, but you don't. It's kinda expensive, and they charge separately for each simulator product. I'm not sure I'm going to spend money on this product.
